Movement Principles (16 hrs)
Movement Principles is the pre-requisite for any Balanced Body training. This module provides the foundational knowledge necessary for creating a keen Pilates eye; able to recognise, teach and improve movement skills and become a transformative instructor. It covers fundamental movement patterns and pre-Pilates exercises and prepares instructors to train clients with cueing, coaching and teaching tips applicable in diverse movement and fitness settings. how the body moves makes you a better instructor.
Trapeze Table/Cadillac (18 hours)
The Trapeze Table provides a range of exercises from beginner to super advanced and the details needed to safely and correctly set up the equipment to support or challenge the client. Time is spent breaking down more complex exercises into digestible movements that are useful for a diverse clientele taking them through a combination of Movement Principles.
Chair (14 hours)
The Pilates chair is a great way to incorporate standing and upright core work into programming. It is a great tool for strengthening more athletic clients and accommodating to pregnant clients. There is a strong focus on upper body exercises and spinal mobility. This course includes exercises, programming, and variations for the original Wunda chair, the EXO chair, and the split pedal Combo Chair.
Barrels (6 hours)
This module includes exercises and variations for the Step Barrel, Pilates Arc and Ladder Barrel, all excellent tools for enhancing client’s spinal mobility and core strength. Students will also take the Pilates Arc onto the Reformer to understand how these two apparatuses can be combined for additional support or challenge in group classes and private sessions.
Reformer 1 (16 hours)
Reformer 1 builds on the concepts learn in movement principles and introduces the Reformer and how to safely use it with a variety of exercises for the beginner to intermediate client. Reformer 1 includes guidelines for training pre/post-natal clients or those with osteoporosis.
Reformer 2 (16 hours)
Reformer 2 expands the potential of the Reformer with intermediate and advanced exercises with associated modifications and safety protocols. Reformer 2 has lots of hands on teaching and explores programs designed for specific populations including pre and post–natal clients, clients with osteoporosis, and lower back issues
Reformer 3 (16 hours)
Reformer 3 is the pinnacle of the Reformer work and includes advanced and super advanced exercises. Reformer 3 focusses on exercise sequencing to create safe and successful multi-level classes and builds an understanding of how to break down more complex movements to make them more achievable.
Mat 1 (16 hours)
Mat 1 includes the history of Pilates and beginner to intermediate repertoire. Each exercise includes guidance on modifications, progressions, exercise purpose and precautions for injuries and conditions including osteoporosis, pre & post-natal.
Mat 2 (16 hours)
Mat 2 teaches the remaining intermediate to super advanced repertoire for a complete understanding of the Pilates Mat program. Mat 2 has a strong focus on progressing of skill development in order to achieve the advanced exercises and enhancing teaching skills with a focus on taking verbal and hands on cueing to the next level.
Mat 3 (16 hours)
Mat 3 can be taken to complete your mat certification or as continued education or to enhance your current Mat programming. This module completes the Mat training by adding balls, rings, rollers and resistance bands to all Pilates Mat repertoire. Mat 3 also includes functional exercises for the upper and lower body to develop whole body strength and flexibility.

Mat Intensive (134 hours)
Pilates mat is the foundation of the Pilates method. Learn the full repertoire of mat exercises along with variations and modifications you need to work with every client.
